Akleistostoma (Paludacypraea) patula 2 5/8” or 66.81mm. Petuch & Drolshagen, 2011-Extinct. Collected in the Pinecrest Member (Petuch Unit 7) of the Tamiami Formation in 2021. Lake being dug on land site, Sarasota County, Sarasota, Florida, Piacenzian Pliocene 3.0-3.4 M.Y.A. Collector BH#3. Identified by Melanie Briskin -Collector and true locality will be divulged in the final data on this fossil Cowrie.
