An F++ Melongena corona 2 3/4” or 70.23mm. w/o Gmelin, 1791 Collected in sand, mud and grass at extreme low tide in March,1979 Blind Pass, Sanibel Island, Florida. Live shells can no longer be taken since the live shelling ban of 1994. This shell has wonderful spikes and the operculum. Minor nick on bottom of shell.
