Akleistostoma (Paludacypraea) cookei 2 3/8” or 57.87mm. Petuch & Drolshagen, 2011.Collected in the Fruitville Member (Petuch Unit 4, Lower Beds, Black Layer) of the Tamiami Formation in 1989. Found in a lake being dug for a land site in 2021. Sarasota County, Sarasota, Florida. Piacenzian Pliocene 2.58-3.0 M.Y.A. Collected and identified by: Melanie Briskin. Really nice specimen some minor worming but good color and terminals.
