Aggregates Pit, Lee County, Bonita Springs, Florida. Piacenzian Pliocene -2.58-3.0 M.Y.A. Collected and identified by: Melanie Briskin. This is a super rare shell rarely ever found in better condition this large!! This is an excellent example of an ancestor of the Extant Queen Conch with coral attached to the shell. Filled with cement like matrix and shells in the aperture.
