Collected in the Pinecrest Member (Petuch Unit 7) of the Tamiami Formation in 2021. Found in a lake site being dug for a land site. Sarasota County, Sarasota, Florida. Piacenzian Pliocene 3.0-3.4 M.Y.A. Collector: BH#3. Identified by Melanie Briskin. Collector and true locality will be divulged in the final data of this fossil Turridae. This is a “Giant of the species”
